Apple Tarte TatinFrench-Style Apple Tart Tatin

Ingredients

Apple – 4
Lemon – 1
Egg Yolk – 1
Cinnamon (powder) – 1 pinch
Sugar – 1 cup
Salt – 1 tsp
Butter (Unsalted) – 6 tbsp
Flour – 250 gm (You can use any flour)
Water – 1 cup

Preparation Method:

1). Take 4 Apples, peel and quarter the apples
2). Add lemon juice to the apple pieces
3). Take flour. add salt, unsalted butter (3 tbsp) and egg yolk to it
4). Mix with water until dough comes together
5). Refrigerate for atleast 30 minutes
6). In a large pan over medium heat, distribute the water and sugar evenly and cook until light amber in color, stirring to help melt any lumps, 5-7 minutes. Add the butter (3 tbsp), stirring constantly until the color is a creamy light brown.
7). Take a baking tray, add the sugar mix to it.
8). Arrange the apple slices in concentric circles on the bottom of the cake pan.
9). Add a pinch of cinnamon powder for taste.
10). Take the dough from the fridge, roll into a circle, and place it on top of the arranged apples.
11). Tuck in the edges. Prick with a fork to let steam escape and bake it in the oven at 190 C.
12). Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and firm. Cool for about 1/2 hour, then invert onto a plate.
13). Slice and serve it with icecream
