THIRUVATHIRAKALI
It is also known as kaikottikali (clap dance). It is an ancient dance form connected with dwelling house. It belongs to the Hindu Nair families.Participants are women.They are arranged themselves around a lighted floor oil lamp (Nilavillaku).Thiruvathira songs are separate especially praising Hindu's God and Goddess. Dance with clap is its speciality.
