Pickle (Carrot / Green Apple)

  • Sliced Carrot – 1/2 Kg (Or Green Apple)
  • Vinegar – 2 tsp
  • Red Chilly – 2 nos
  • Chilli powder – 2 tbsp
  • Fenugreek powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida Powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves : 2 sprigs
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  • Oil : 1/2 Cup
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add mustard seeds, red chillies and curry leaves.
  3. Add chilly powder to the hot oil and saute for a minute.
  4. Add Carrot (or Green Apple) and salt and saute well.
  5. Sprinkle little water to it and mix well.
  6. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 5 minutes in medium fire.
  7. Add fenugreek powder and asafoetida powder and mix well.
  8. Remove from fire and add vinegar and mix well.
  9. Pickle is ready
